  1. Which one’s the Vargas, Terry?

The blonde on the white background
    with the skirt-style bikini bottom?

  2. jColes says:

While I enjoy looking at bikini-clad women — especially pretty, young women — I still think it is inappropriate to use our flag on clothing and other commercial items.

I went to Puerto Allegra, Brazil, a few years ago and was absolutely mind-blown by the ladies on the beaches there — their bikinis & ‘thong suits’ spoke eloquently of the beauty of the human body — but even in licentious Brazil the national symbol did not appear on clothing (or near-clothing) items …

Sure wish I were young enough to attract any of the women in this photo display … this getting old stuff really sucks!

  3. Terry says:

I love Vargas’ work… I had never heard of him until David Robinson of The Cars (The “artsy” one and also the drummer) asked him to do the cover of their second album “Candy-O”. His work was brilliant !!

  4. I don’t know Terry, we’ve got plenty of Swedish
looking women over here, and even some authen-
tic Swedish stock salted around here and there…
let’s face it: here in American we have every
type of different woman. Which is a good thing,
because man, I like them all…

  5. It was a lot better when we had the pop-up
pic captions and I could properly tuck a print
caption up under a photo where it’s supposed
to be. I really miss mt header image captions,
the pieces just don’t look the same, or quite
work the same without them. Click on a couple
of old pieces in the sidebar and check out the
    header image w / caption… and the pop-ups
too… Then Check out the new captionless pics
and you’ll see the difference is glaring.

  6. upaces88 says:

How can I not be here!? You have a GREAT SITE!

  7. You’re just going to town, aren’t you?

I’m glad you stumbled over my site and
stuck, you have really added an “extra
dimension over here and I want to thank
    you for that, really.

    Keep coming back…

  8. upaces88 says:

I was looking for Raquel Welch in Google for her famous pin-up during Viet Nam…and did you kow they are still getting $50-60 for that poster?

  9. upaces88 says:

    Vargas WWII PIn-UP Girls 1942-1945:

  10. upaces88 says:

Well, they painted Betty Grable, Rita Hayworth and Raquel Welch on Jet planes during various wars soooo …why not!

  11. Terry says:

I am damn proud to be an American!!!

We DO have the most beautiful women on the planet,
don’t we… well, except for Sweden.. OK second best
    looking women on the planet…

Thanks for putting that up John.

    Yer bud,

    Terry..
